Sasquatch 2008: R.E.M., The Cure, The Flaming Lips and More

Diehard fans braved sideways rain to soak up R.E.M.'s first night headlining set. The band was ferocious, especially Peter Buck on lead guitar. They charged through almost all of Accelerate, dusted off a couple of late-era hits ("Man on the Moon," "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?," "Drive") and indulged in even fewer early cuts ("Orange Crush").
