RS 55 - April 2, 1970. Abbie Hoffman, a defendant in the famous "Chicago Seven" conspiracy trial, graced the cover of RS in 1970. Hoffman and others were put on trial for protesting the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968, which further fueled public distrust of the government.
