Backstage with Wilco

For Wilco's five-night stand at the Riviera in their hometown of Chicago, the band pledged to play every song from all of their albums. During soundcheck, John Stirrat, Pat Sansone and Jeff Tweedy (from left) try to get through songs they hadn't played in a while, including the slow ballad "We're Just Friends" and the bluegrass jam "That's Not The Issue." "We weren't really struggling with anything," says Tweedy. "We were just, you know, conferring." But come that evening's performance, everything sounds just right.
