Bruce Springsteen performing at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on January 20, 1981. "I had a buddy who worked security and promised to get me backstage after a show. As I was walking through the bowels of the arena, I heard a door open. Kids with albums and programs were being led in, so I knew that Bruce had to be coming out. I manage to get first in line to have my program autographed. He takes the program but doesn't have a pen. I hand him my Bic. After getting his autograph I put my hand out to shake his, but he misinterprets and thinks I want the pen back. I shared that story with Bruce on a street in Pittsburgh in 1995. He said, 'Man, what do you want? Your pen back? I don't have it.' I said no, but that I hoped that pen wrote some of the songs that filled my life." - George M. Mihalik, Columbus, OH
