Clive Davis' Biggest Hits: The Legendary Record Man With His Famous Artists

Bruce Springsteen was one of the biggest stars Clive Davis signed to Columbia (the two are pictured here at New York's Bottom Line in 1974). Davis says in the early 1970s he booked Bruce at L.A.'s large Ahmanson Theatre and told him to "make use of the stage." A few years later, Springsteen invited Davis to a show at the Bottom Line and was "a dervish, jumping over tables, going all over the room. I got backstage, and before I say anything, Bruce says, 'Did I move enough for you?' "
