After a four-year hiatus, Tool will return to the road this summer for a three-week North American tour of small theaters kicking off May 2nd in Seattle -- the day their new album, 10,000 Days, hits stores. The album's first single, the epic, seven-minute "Vicarious," hits radio this week.

The short North American outing will be the band's first since 2002, and will fall between their April 30th headlining performance at Coachella and a European festival tour which begins May 26th in Portugal, and culminates with a July 9th showing at Finland's Turku Festival.

Tool's last release, 2001's Lateralus, debuted at Number One and went on to sell almost two and a half million copies. Since then, the band's members have pursued other projects, most notably singer Maynard James Keenan's A Perfect Circle -- featuring former members of Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson and the Vandals -- who have sold more than one and a half millions albums to date. In 2004, drummer Danny Carey reunited with his former bandmates in the Pigmy Love Circus to release The Power of Beef, the band's first album in over a decade.

Tickets for the May dates go on sale April 22nd through local ticket vendors. More information is available at toolband.com.
