Swedish singer-songwriter launches first U.S. mini-tour this month

Swedish singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez, whose debut album Veneer is being re-released by Mute Records on April 4th, will cross international waters for his first U.S. mini-tour beginning Wednesday at Austin's South by Southwest Music Festival.

Originally released stateside last fall, Veneer has already sold gold in the U.K. and is a current mainstay in the Top Ten across the pond. The track "Crosses" -- originally from Gonzalez's Crosses EP -- was featured during the second season finale of the FOX drama The OC.

In addition, Gonzalez, whose previous outfits have run the gamut from hardcore and indie rock to melodic pop, has won a Swedish Grammy and appeared on renowned British music television show Top of the Pops.
