Death Cab will be supporting their major-label debut, Plans -- the follow-up to the band's breakthrough album Transatlanticism -- which landed at Number Four in its first week out. "I get really happy in the studio," guitarist Chris Walla told Rolling Stone. "Four years ago, I would have been totally happy to never play another show. But now I think they feed off each other. Rock shows are like primary colors, big and bold."
Meanwhile, Franz Ferdinand will be touring their second album, You Could Have It So Much Better, which sold 81,000 copies in its first week to debut at Number Eight.
Following the spring jaunt, both bands have signed on for two of the summer's hottest festivals: Death Cab will perform at Bonnaroo, taking place June 16th to 18th in Manchester, Tennessee, while Franz will play Coachella, set for April 29th and 30th in Indio, California.
