Lights, written last winter in New York, was a departure for Yellowcard, who admit that the new record shows their darker side. "New York in the winter . . . brought out some darker places in us," frontman Ryan Key told Rolling Stone. "Emotionally darker."
The emo five-piece will hit twenty campuses across the country.
The rockers wrapped their fall jaunt on December 1st in Anaheim, California, though many dates -- along with several U.K. shows -- were canceled due to a nodule on Key's vocal cord.
