Wilco are currently at work on the follow-up to 2004's A Ghost Is Born, due in early 2007. The alt-country outfit has already laid down a few tracks in their Chicago studio.
But in the meantime, fans can expect new recordings from Wilco side projects -- including drummer Glenn Kotche's latest solo effort, Mobile, due March 7th. Kotche is opening for Tweedy on tour, through February 20th.
In addition, the Tweedy-Kotche experimental-rock project Loose Fur, with producer and multi-instrumentalist Jim O'Rourke (Beth Orton, Sonic Youth), will release their sophomore album, Born Again in the U.S.A., on March 21st. And bassist John Stirratt and Wilco's newest member, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, will tour as Autumn Defense this February.
