The second album from this Brooklyn trio presents bar rock for fun-loving domestics: catchy, witty tunes about Vincent Gallo and listening to "grown-up music" once the kids have fallen asleep in the back seat. Singer-guitarist Leah Archibald writes from the perspective of a loving mom whose taste for simple pleasures -- beer and football, in particular -- combine with her arty ambitions in songs whose well-plotted charms make them ideal pop nuggets for consenting adults with a love of details and a sense of fun.
