Bright Eyes released three albums this year: Digital Ash in a Digital Urn; I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning; and a new live album, Motion Sickness. But in 2006, Bright Eyes wizard Conor Oberst tells Rolling Stone, the band will release zero.

Oberst admits he has about twenty songs written, including titles like "Napoleon's Hat," and "No One Would Riot for Less," but he'll take his time to deliver a new disc.

"We bought this house in Omaha, and we're putting in a super-amazing studio," he says, adding that he'll hole up with longtime producer Mike Mogis and trumpet player/pianist Nate Walcott. "The three of us are the band at this point. Whatever I can dream up, those two guys can make happen. We just wanna record tons of songs and find ten or twelve that are undeniable."

Oberst also reports that to break up the monotony, he, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and M. Ward may reprise their "round-robin" tour next fall.
