Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and George Strait are among the artists slated to appear on CMT's One Country, a Hurricane Katrina relief concert to be broadcast live from Houston's Reliant Stadium on October 1st.

The benefit will be produced entirely with donated equipment and services, including sound, lights and staging. In addition, the stadium will donate parking revenues, Ticketmaster will donate 100 percent of its service fees and ARAMARK concessions will donate all profits to relief efforts.

Tens of thousands who fled the devastation and extreme flooding in the wake of Katrina have sought refuge in the Houston area. Approximately 25,000 people were rescued from their emergency shelter at New Orleans' Superdome and have been relocated to Houston's Astrodome until further notice.

CMT's "One Country" campaign was launched earlier this year to promote volunteerism by highlighting the good deeds of a number of national and local non-profit organizations.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday, and more artists are expected to join the roster in the near future.
