The ninth annual NEMO Music Festival and Conference -- with Los Lonely Boys, Joss Stone, the Posies and Tracy Bonham among its biggest acts -- is set to take place September 29th through October 2nd in venues all around Boston.
NEMO, with its mission to help boost the profile of indie artists, will also include performances from up-and-comers Black Mountain, Aqualung, Robbers on High Street and deSol. Previous NEMO events have included Linkin Park, Guster and Howie Day.
Like Austin's South by Southwest and New York City's CMJ festivals, the Boston-based music industry event will host panel discussions, performance clinics and a trade show at the Boston Center for the Arts. Apart from the festival's main indoor acoustic and outdoor stages, some 300 performers will invade twenty-five participating venues throughout the city each night.
While most of the line-up at the festival is made-up of head-scratching new acts, festival headliners and Grammy-winners Los Lonely Boys will likely preview songs from their upcoming album. The trio's guitarist Henry Garza told Rolling Stone, "Get ready for some Texican rock & roll again!"
