BOBBY BROWN will star in an eight-episode reality show called Being Bobby Brown, following his life with wife WHITNEY HOUSTON. The show airs June 30th on Bravo . . . FANTASIA will open for R&B singer KEM beginning June 8th in St. Louis. The tour wraps July 1st in Atlanta . . . RICHARD LEWIS of the doo-wop group the SILHOUETTES died of multiple organ failure on Tuesday. Lewis, 71, wrote the group's 1958 hit "Get a Job" and was the its last surviving member . . .
OUTKAST'S ANDRE 3000 will star and co-produce an as-yet-untitled modern musical. The project is being developed by Double Feature Films (Along Came Polly, Garden State) and written by Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q). Andre has also agreed to compose original music for the film . . . MOTLEY CRUE will match the $10,000 reward set to help find Tracey Gardner-Tetso, a thirty-two-year-old woman who's been missing since March 6th. She was on her way to the band's Red, White & Crue tour stop in Washington, D.C., but never made it to the show . . . The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will embark on a thirty-eight-date tour beginning May 6th in Los Angeles, wrapping up August 28th in Essex Junction, Vermont. Southern rockers LYNRYD SKYNYRD, New York jam band MOE., and singer-songwriters MARTIN SEXTON and GAVIN DeGRAW will join the Allmans on their trek . . .
CAROLE KING will kick off "The Living Room Tour 2005" on July 3rd in Rama, Ontario, wrapping up August 14th in Santa Rosa, California . . . RYAN CABRERA will star in a MTV dating show called Score, set to debut in the fall . . . PATTI SMITH, former PHISH bassist MIKE GORDON, HUEY LEWIS and MAVIS STAPLES have just joined the performance lineup for the Jammy Awards, which takes place Tuesday in New York's Madison Square Garden. They will join SINEAD O'CONNOR, BURNING SPEAR, MEDESKI MARTIN AND WOOD, BUDDY GUY and RYAN ADAMS . . . Former "Tonight" show bandleader, JOSE MELIS, died from a respiratory infection April 7th. Melis lead the show's band from 1957 to 1962 for host Jack Paar. He was eighty-five years old . . .
JOSS STONE's rendition of RAY CHARLES and ETTA JAMES' "The Right Time" will debut in Gap television commercials this week. The song will also be available for free download at gap.com on April 28th . . . The GAME has been charged with assault and battery after allegedly assaulting radio host Kwasi "DJ Zxulu" Jones in Washington, D.C. Jones has also filed a $280,000,000 lawsuit . . . BEYONCE's father Mathew Knowles will release new music from RICK JAMES on August 2nd, featuring a duet with the late funk star's daughter Ty James . . . Nearly a week after the death of guitarist BRYAN OTTOSON, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE announced that the band will continue touring with MUDVAYNE, rejoining them on April 29th in Lubbock, Texas . . . DEF LEPPARD will release the double-disc compilation album Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection on May 17th. The veteran British rockers will follow the collection with a covers album, remaking tracks by T. REX, THIN LIZZY, QUEEN, DAVID BOWIE, the POLICE and TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS . . .
MODEST MOUSE and CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN will kick off a eighteen-show trek on May 25th in Vancouver . . . LAURYN HILL will make a rare live appearance to headline the Stockholm Jazz Festival in Sweden, from July 19th to the 23rd . . . Scottish rockers TEENAGE FANCLUB will release Man-Made on June 7th . . . STEVIE NICKS and DON HENLEY hit the road together this summer. Nicks will preview the tour with some solo dates in Las Vegas, while Henley plans on rejoining the EAGLES in August following the trek . . . SLINT are auctioning some of the gear they played on their last reunion tour on eBay.
