Actual Libertines shows have been few and far between, thanks to
the personal melodrama of singer (and storied drug-taker) Peter
Doherty. But thank goodness Doherty managed to drag his ass into
the studio for the second disc from these British garage rockers.

producer, the Libs still sound like a gloriously combustible rock
& roll mess: If they never manage to make another album, this
one will have clinched their status as a cult legend.
