Singer lets Kelis dive into "Oceania," hair metal men get real and more

BJORK had KELIS sing on an alternate version of her new single, "Oceania." The two recorded their vocals separately, with Bjork in Iceland and Kelis in New York. The single is circulating online but there is currently no plans for its official release . . . TOMMY LEE will team with NBC for a reality show based on his enrollment in college. His former MOTLEY CRUE bandmate VINCE NEIL will star in The Remaking of Vince Neil, an MTV reality show documenting his attempt at a career resurrection with help from makeover stylists . . . SOCIAL DISTORTION have planned a fall headlining tour scheduled to begin on September 24th in Corpus Christi, Texas . . .

SHANIA TWAIN's Greatest Hits is due November 9th. The twenty-one-track album will include three new songs, including the first single "Party for Two" (which features guest vocals by SUGAR RAY's MARK McGRATH on one version and country singer BILLY CURRINGTON on another), "Don't!" and "I Ain't No Quitter" . . . A PERFECT CIRCLE will release Emotive, a new album of political songs, on November 2nd to coincide with the presidential election. The collection will feature new material from the band, as well as covers like JOHN LENNON's "Imagine" and MARVIN GAYE's "What's Going On" . . . LOS LONELY BOYS will release a DVD, Texican Style: Live in Austin on September 14th, which captures a live performance from South by Southwest Music Conference . . .

BRITNEY SPEARS' fiance (and former backup dancer) KEVIN FEDERLINE will be featured in her video for "My Prerogative," the BOBBY BROWN cover and first single from Spears' upcoming greatest hits set. Spears' brother is also set for a cameo . . . PAUL McCARTNEY and wife HEATHER MILLS will host at the Adopt a Minefield benefit at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on October 15th. McCartney and NEIL YOUNG will perform . . . ASHANTI, QUEEN LATIFAH and QUENTIN TARANTINO will lend their voices to upcoming children's movie The Muppet Wizard of Oz . . . The Recording Industry Association of America has filed another 744 lawsuits against people it claims illegally traded or downloaded copyrighted music . . . The DEFTONES will kick off an eight-city club tour on September 28th in West Hollywood, California. The band will then head into the studio to record its fifth album with producer BOB EZRIN (PINK FLOYD, KISS, NINE INCH NAILS) . . .
