Dylan, Wilco Do Bonnaroo

Diverse music festival set for June

Bob Dylan, the Dead, Dave Matthews and Friends, Trey Anastasio and Wilco are among the acts confirmed for the third annual Bonnaroo Festival, set for June 11-13 in Manchester, Tennessee.

As with its previous two incarnations, Bonnaroo 2004 will be a cross-genre affair. Several jam band representatives including Moe, the String Cheese Incident and Vida Blue will perform, in addition to representatives from other genres including jazz (the Bad Plus, Medeski Martin and Wood), blues (Taj Mahal, Los Lonely Boys), bluegrass and mountain music (Gillian Welch, the Del McCoury Band), folk-rock (Damien Rice, Beth Orton), indie rock of various stripes (Ani DiFranco, Calexico), and international acts (Femi Kuti, the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra).

Additional acts are expected to be announced, bringing the total of performers to more than sixty. Tickets for the festival go on sale on February 21st through bonnaroo.com.
