311 are putting the finishing touches on their seventh album, Evolver, which will be released on Volcano/Jive on July 22nd.

The album, recorded with producer Ron Saint Germain at the band's Hive Studio in Los Angeles, is the follow-up 2001's From Chaos. Among the songs tapped for the set are "Creatures for a While," "Seems Uncertain," "Beyond the Gray Sky" and "Crack the Code." Because the five-piece was working on the album last month, it was unable to perform on March 11th, its annual 3/11 day celebration, instead offering a handful of new songs and photos on 311.com.

A summer tour is in the works, with a projected launch date of July 15th. The only appearances locked in thus far are a July 18th gig with Something Corporate in Costa Mesa, California, and a July 26th slot at the Rolling Rock Town Fair in Pittsburgh, along with Blink-182, Def Leppard, Puddle of Mudd, Sum 41 and Trapt.
