Original American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini was ticketed by Texas authorities for unsafe boat operation last Saturday after nearly hitting a five-year-old girl, according to reports. Guarini and Idol winner Kelly Clarkson were allegedly boating with a group of friends at Grand Prarie's Loyd Park, outside Dallas, when he suddenly piloted a personal watercraft onto the shore.
Guarini reportedly came dangerously close to Allison Heizer, whose father told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the singer, who also stars with Clarkson in the current romantic comedy From Justin to Kelly, ran away laughing without apologizing.

"If they were just apologetic, everything would have been alright," said Clint Heizer, the girl's father, who confronted Guarini.
Park officials and police then issued Guarini a citation for unsafe boat operation and kicked the party out of the park. If convicted, Guarini could face up to six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.
