Richard Ashcroft is finishing the last few tracks for his upcoming album. As yet untitled, the album will be the former Verve singer's second solo effort and follow-up to 2000's Alone With Everybody.
Ashcroft is once again working with Chris Potter -- who co-produced Alone With Everybody as well as the Verve's breakthrough album, Urban Hymns -- and one of the new tracks is a collaboration with the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. The sessions are being recorded at Barge Studios on the River Thames in London, England, and the album is expected out this fall.
In the meantime, you can hear Ashcroft on the track "The Test" from the recently released Chemical Brothers album, Come With Us. He will also be appearing as a special guest for Oasis' shows at the Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester, England, on September 14th and 15th.
