(NEW YORK) - Tommy Boy Music and ESPN are getting together for an adrenaline-pumping compilation. The X Games Soundtrack, due May 27, was inspired by practitioners of extreme sports, such as the skateboarding and in-line skating that are part of the competition at the 1997 Summer X Games. The soundtrack features new music, classic hits, and exclusive remixes from punk, hip-hop, ska, and techno acts. Helmet, Prodigy and others contribute new music to the set; Bush, Civ, Sublime and Public Enemy are among the acts that provide exclusive album tracks. Also included are favorites from Wu-Tang Clan, Fishbone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
