David Lee Roth Opens Up -- New Bio & CD Coming

Fans of former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth -- prepare for a flurry of Roth-related releases.| First, this Thursday the irreverent rocker's tell-all biography hits bookstores. Second, a greatest hits package called The Best will be released on Oct. 28.

The Best, compiled by Rhino Records, features 20 prime cuts from Roth's solo albums, plus a brand new single called "Don't Piss Me Off." Contrary to some reports, Roth does not plan on touring to support the album right now, according to Amanda Cagan, his Los Angeles-based publicist.

As for the autobiography, titled Crazy From the Heat, reports say it will feature candid stories from Roth's childhood, his crazy days with Van Halen, and Roth's side of recent high-profile interactions with former bandmates. (Seth Hindin)
