(NEW YORK) - A remix of "Roxanne" by Sean "Puffy"
Combs is the highlight of a new Police
greatest-hits collection. The Very Best Of Sting And The
Police, to be released Nov. 4 by A&M,
contains fourteen tracks culled from the band's five albums and
Sting's five solo sets|, including material from the latter's
latest work, Mercury Falling. Along with the Combs' take,
the original version of "Roxanne" is on the album, as are "Walking
On The Moon," "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free," "Can't Stand
Losing You," and If I Ever Lose My Faith In You." Sting and Combs
became friends after the rapper/producer recorded "I'll Be Missing
You," a remake of the Police's "Every Breath You Take"; the pair
performed the remade track together at this year's MTV
Video Music Awards.
