A few weeks ago JAMTV reported that the British dance/rock band Primal Scream canceled five U.K. tour dates as "a mark of respect" for the deceased Princess Diana. Apparently that was not quite the case: the staunchly anti-royalist group recently told New Music Express they "have no respect for Diana Spencer or any member of the English Royal Family." Instead, they claim they were concerned about security at their London kick-off date, which was to take place at a club in a residential area. With police unavailable, the band wanted to postpone the show "as a mark of respect for residents living in the area," NME reported. The group is also said to be upset that a previously recorded television performance was re-broadcast as part of a Channel 4 Princess Di tribute show. (Seth Hindin)
