Bad Religion to Embark on Own Tour

After doing time with Blink-182 earlier this year, Bad Religion no longer have to suffer the indignity of opening up for a band two punk generations removed from them. The band begins its own headlining tour Sept. 24 at the Glass House in Pomona, Calif. The jaunt will run through early November, with some venues still to be announced.

Bad Religion's latest album, The New America, came out in May. At the time, lead singer Greg Graffin talked to RollingStone.com about opening for Blink-182 in an effort to broaden their audience. "If people want to believe that the marquee directly reflects importance, they're just shortsighted," he said. "If you're just preaching to the converted, there's no progress."
