Although Warren G. wasn't up for any awards at the recent Source Awards in Los Angeles, he made major waves at the gala|, networking with everyone fromDMX to Kurupt. He even joined Snoop, Nate Dogg and Xzibit on stage for animpromptu performance.
Warren is again in the public eye due to the October 12 release of
his sophomore album, I Want It All. The album is still a
work in progress but there plans forguest appearances from artists
such as Ruff Ryder's Eve and Drag-On, Snoop Dogg,Nate Dogg,
Jermaine Dupri, Val from the Mary Jane Girls, Kurupt,
CrucialConflict, Daz, RBX, Memphis Bleek, Slick Rick and Reel
Tight. The title track and first single--which features vocals by
Mack 10--will be in stores on August.
Warren G.'s publicist, Jody Miller, calls the project "a real
east-meets-west initiative," and explains thatwith it's alternation
between laid-back, slow beats and hard-edged, rougherbeats, the new
album has something for everyone. "Warren has really comeback to
form in terms of his production skills," she says. "He's been
ableto really take control of his career in the last few years, to
change theway he's doing business, and that's apparent in this
