Luke Records' owner and founder, Luther Campbell, was cleared of the felony aggravated battery charges made against him by the alleged victim, Mathieu Fabrice, in Miami-Dade County Court|. On July 5, Campbell was arrested at Miami Beach's Club Zen for striking Fabrice in the head with a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey during an argument. On Monday, August 16, prosecutors declared No Action, which means that they acknowledged that they lacked the evidence to convict Luke.

As Jullian Booth, A&R of Luke Records, put it, "There were so many witnesses that they threw the case out, because so many people were coming out saying, 'No, Luke didn't do it.' Even the performer [HonoRebel] saw what was going on." Club Zen employees came forward to testify that there was no Jack Daniels being served that evening. "It was basically blown out of proportion. I guess the guys were thinking they could make a quick come-up, because it was Luke. Luke didn't do anything. There were no fists flying, or all the stuff that they were saying - they just had to have a confrontation; it was just verbal words, that was it. I was to the side of him, and I saw what was going on, but there was no actual, physical confrontation," Booth added.

Uncle Luke himself has spoken out on the matter, leaving a message for his fans at his website, lukerecords.com, "AS U ALL KNOW A LOT OF SHIT BEEN GOING ON WITH MUTHA FUCKA'S TRYING TO CASE ME UP ON THE HOUSE BUT THAT'LL NEVER HAPPEN. IT'S ALL-BOGUS, I JUST WANT MY FANS TO KNOW THAT." - Werner
