Impersonator Charged With Misdemeanor

Man fined $500 for impersonating Missy Elliott on radio station call-in shows

On Thursday, February 4th, 19-year-old Dustin Wilkins was fined $500 for making phone calls to radio station call-in shows| pretending to be producer/ singer/ song-writer/ Grammy nominee/ rapper/ Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, formerly of Sista.

A criminal complaint was brought against Wilkins when he called his former employer threatening her if she didn't hire him back. During sentencing, District Judge Katherine Howe Jones wisely said, "I'm not sure what game you're playing, but stop it." The criminal complaint was dropped. - Werner
