J Dilla: "Won't Do" [Listen]
"I listen to that song at least four times a day," McCoy says of the hypersmooth single from the late hip-hop producer's last album, The Shining. "There's a line where he says, 'We paid for it, like mikes in The Source.' It cracks me up."

The Decemberists: "The Mariner's Revenge Song" [Listen]
"It's the most visual song ever," McCoy says of the tune off the indie rockers' 2005 album Picaresque. "It's about this sailor who drives the singer's mom crazy. He goes after the sailor, but they both get eaten by a whale. It's intense."

Cody Chesnutt: "Serve This Royalty"
The jazzy soul track from the funk-soul brother's 2002 Headphone Masterpiece "makes me feel real, real regal," says McCoy. "I put it on right after I get out of the shower."

Amy Winehouse: "Me and Mr. Jones"
"She's like Etta James reincarnated," McCoy says of the famously boozy U.K. soul singer. "This makes me feel like I'm wasted, walking around throwing shit, sad about a girl who did me wrong."

Rich Boy: "Throw Some D's"
"He's talking about bling and rims, which has been done a million times, but there's something about the way he says it. It's undeniable."
