The 2006 MTV VMA nominations have been announced, and predictably, this year's most prominent artists dominate the list. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Shakira each earned seven nominations, while VMA veterans like Madonna and Christina Aguilera find themselves competing against emo-cabaret act Panic!
