The second generation of biofuels (post-ethanol) is kicking into commerce. Case in point: Continental just tested a flight with a fuel derived from algae.

Quantas was first a few days if not weeks ago. I like this development, can make the deserts into productive environments. Makes me wonder what we could achieve if we adopted Tesla’s version of the Internal Combustion Engine.

They’ve been making diesel out of algae for years.

the achievement is that they are using it as jet fuel… a much higher quality of hydrocarbon mix than diesel.

Have you noticed all the geological rumbling lately? Yellowstone Park, California, Puerto Rico, Indonesia.
Seems like there is a big event trying to develop, hopefully, it’s merely a sign of dissipating pressure and not a major collapse.
