Not Green, But Blue

Bush has done something really quite remarkable: protecting a Spain-sized expanse of the Pacific Ocean from commercial and resource development.

The scope of Bush’s marine protections is historic, and — no joke — may mean the same fucking Dubya who oversaw the fouling of Western lands and the imperiling of our global climate will also be remembered as the TR of the oceans:

Take it from Joshua S. Reichert, Managing Director of the Pew Environment Group:

“This historic action by President Bush protects some of the world’s most unique and biologically significant ocean habitat. Together with the Hawaii marine monument established two years ago, this marks the end of an era in which humans have increasingly understood the need to conserve vanishing wild places on land but failed to comprehend the similar plight of our oceans. It comes none too soon.”

Glad he did this, but don’t you wonder if he did it because none of his cronies have figured out how to make money from that area?

Absolutely, and because he has to make everyone forget just how badly he screwed the environment with all his other policies. PR, oh what a wonderful thing.

Typical Con-Think. He knows he’s sin-ned and now he’s trying to b-uy his way into hea-ven.

It’s an old trick, all the Robber Barons did the same thing. Hope they’re f-rying; hope Georgie f-ries.

‘Scuse all the tricks. This thing won’t load so I’m breaking up all the words that might offend.

You think those past presidents are trying to convince PE Obama to not prosecute the current administration or turn them over to The Hague? Or is this a deperate membership drive into the Illuminaty? A leading into the ‘egg room’ as in the movie Alien, so to speak.

I was watching the proceedings of the house earlier, some of the initial bills proposed have to do with removing the ability for future, present and former presidents to prevent the public from accessing the presidential papers. Those documents belong to the people and no president should be able to call on executive privilege to prevent the people from having access to the papers that expose how THEIR OFFICE was used or abused.

And, did you see “Still President Bush” talking to the VP of Sudan the other day… He called the guy his FRIEND… A MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE GENOCIDE OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE!!! for Christ’s sake, how much proof do you need to realize this f#cker is possessed? Remember when he looked into Putin’s eyes and saw his SOUL, ‘and it was good’. Of course it was good to him, a kindred spirit, another darkie working on the destruction of the planet. Just think of the animosity Russia is creating for itself by stopping the flow of LNG to Europe, merely to punish an old republic. At the moment, they are blaming the Ukrainians for stopping the flow of gas, but that’s not true. I guess it must be the hallmark of a ‘good soul’ to deny the people a much needed NATURAL RESOURCE because of greed.

What’s the catch? If there is none, it will be the first time for this administration.

Regarding the Hague, I heard an interesting interview on NPR today. Can’t remember the name of the treaty, but in the 80’s the U.S. and many other nations signed a no-torture treaty. It states that not only will torture not be tolerated, but if a nation tortures, it is the DUTY, by law, of the other nations to prosecute the perpetrators. I hope to God they go after Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etal. The justice would be so sweet. And all President Obama will have to do is sit back and watch (though many of us will be dancing in the streets).
Wouldn’t want to interfere in international legal proceedings now would we?

Just one of many violations that would send them to the world tribunal, unfortunately, that is no guarantee it will happen.

Anyone remember Henry Kissinger? The crimes of that administration were admitted to in the Nixon tapes as well as later ones during the Ford administration. Believe it or not, his dirty greedy little hands are all over the Iraq war as well.

Peace
