He doesn’t support gay marriage so he is wrong and stupid

hear me | 12/19/2008, 12:54 pm EST

From the Invocation:
“Use them (power, wisdom and salvation) to bring reconciliation between the races and healing to political wounds, that we may truly become “one nation under God.”

Red flag! Neo-right idiots. At least we don’t have to recite the ‘under God’ in schools anymore.

Reread the Benediction. Nothing that was for prayed occured. What kind of a benevolent God is that?

Obameter | 12/19/2008, 1:11 pm EST

If you read the fourth sentence Bush gave himself a convenient out for every crime he was about to commit. His version of the old pre-nup clause.

“Forgive us for choosing pride over purpose, forgive us for choosing popularity over principles and forgive us for choosing materialism over morals.”

So now he can sleep at night and won’t burn in hell for eternity I suppose. F*ck him.

Meltdown | 12/19/2008, 1:37 pm EST

Breaking news:
Bristol Palin’s boyfriend’s mother arrested on 6 felony drug counts! Good, clean, small-town family fun for all!!!!

chris | 12/19/2008, 2:38 pm EST

hey man, he said he was going to be open to those with opposing viewpoints, which is what this country is supposed to be about…

D&C | 12/19/2008, 9:23 pm EST

Melt, I think you are confused, it was Tina Fey’s brothers’ girlfriend’ mother’s hair dresser that was arrested!

D&C | 12/19/2008, 9:24 pm EST

Now for current crime news… President-elect Barack Obama’s incoming chief of staff Rahm Emanuel had a deeper involvement in pressing for a U.S. Senate seat appointment than previously reported, the Sun-Times has learned. Emanuel had direct discussions about the seat with Gov. Blagojevich, who is is accused of trying to auction it to the highest bidder.

Anonymous | 12/20/2008, 5:24 am EST

Jed Clampett

Yes, which would have been proper contact with the governor of a state by the office of the president elect. By Blaggo’s own admission on the tapes, the office would not play the ‘pay to play’ game, so your attempts at making a mountain out of a pimple are somewhat laughable.

Peace

D&C | 12/20/2008, 11:53 am EST

Jed, I know you are confused, but I showed a REAL News report from Chicago newspaper, versus what you do in making up stuff to suit your illogical arguments.

DirtyDennis | 12/20/2008, 11:59 am EST

I doubt the Sun-Times referred to Emanuel’s contacts with the Governor as a crime.

Coach | 12/20/2008, 1:07 pm EST

Nice try D&C. As soon as contacting a governor about an empty senate seat becomes a crime, you’ll be promoted to Attorney General!

D&C | 12/20/2008, 7:30 pm EST

Of course he couldn’t have committed crime, becuase as you stated previous Liberal philosophy prevents them from committing crimes.

All those who believe that please stand up.

Coach | 12/21/2008, 6:51 pm EST

D&C, would you care to find the ‘quote’ of me saying liberals don’t commit crimes? Since you’re so freaking hung up on sources, where’s yours?

Anonymous | 12/22/2008, 11:32 am EST

Jed Clampett

He can’t help it, he’s so used to talking from his rectum, full of bile, that he can’t actually have a normal conversation without sounding like an idiot.

“Spite all my rage I am still just a Rat in a cage.”

Peace

D&C | 12/22/2008, 12:21 pm EST

Coach,

Where EXACTLY do I match you to my comments? The reference was to DD comment, which was the last comment I saw when I posted mine.

I was going to take a shot at your faux indignity, but I realized you are already a victim of your ideology, so that is punishment enough.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Coach | 12/22/2008, 12:57 pm EST

D&C: Here’s your quote Jhackass: “becuase as you stated previous Liberal philosophy prevents them from committing crimes.” Nowhere in that statement do you reference DD. And, nowhere in DD’s statement does it say Liberals are free from crimes. Yet, you just resort to your old, tired tactic: SMEAR.

All you do on this site is try to pick fights. Yet, you never come out of your corner. Grow up you infantile sh!tstain.

DirtyDennis | 12/22/2008, 3:56 pm EST

Okay, I’ll say it, I NEVER made ANY statement that liberals don’t commit crimes. If you can find ANY evidence to support your claim, than please show me.

Somewhere In The Middle | 12/22/2008, 4:03 pm EST

Wow, looks like things are getting personal here. I read a “transcript” at DailyKos.com of an alleged conversation between Rahm Emanuel and Gov. Hot Rod in which Emanuel basically tells him to go play in traffic. I’ve since seen that that transcript is supposedly bogus. That said, Rahm Emanuel is one smart SOB and I would find it very difficult to believe that he would be dumb enough to participate in some half-a$$ed, hair-brained scheme with Blago.
That said, I find it funny that so many are upset with Obama for choosing Rick Warren to give the invocation. I think Warren’s views on homosexuality and gay marriage are outdated, archaic, and I vehemently disagree with them, but I think the fact that Obama chose him, backs up his campaign claim that he wanted to reach across the aisle. With partisanship playing as big a role as ever in government, a move like this should be applauded, because it is a move in the direction of real change.

DirtyDennis | 12/22/2008, 4:57 pm EST

Bravo MidMan, if people are going to complain about something, make it something of import. Like DOD secty. Perhaps Obama’s ‘reaching across the aisle’ there as well, but it has a LOT more significance than who pontificates at a ceremony.

D&C | 12/22/2008, 11:13 pm EST

DD I was wrong it was Tin Foil Hat who said the Liberal philosophy prevents them from committing crimes. My apologies.

DirtyDennis | 12/23/2008, 8:34 am EST

DC,

Accepted, and he’s right. If they commit a crime, then they are NOT liberal. That’s an easy one. Your deeds reflect who you are.

You think that bozo in IL is a liberal? Hail No!! He’s a con artist crook that saw that the power in the state lie with the Dems and he went with the power.

Having said that, this whole thing reeks of hypocrisy. They’re not investigating the Gov on NY and you can bet ‘deals’ are being made over Hil’s successor. It’s called quid pro quo and it happens every day in politics.

Blag-a-whoever should go to jail for being collossually STUPID, rather than criminal. Like Craig from ID. People in those positions have power and should have the good taste to treat their positions and the people who elected them with respect. If not, string ‘em up. Same for Bushney, they disrespected the office and the people with disrespect.

hear him | 12/25/2008, 3:36 pm EST

DD is so right.
How can we respect and trust these idiots? No wonder so few of us vote. Conversely, Obameta brought out the vote because people want to respect and believe him.

D&C | 12/27/2008, 11:17 am EST

So Lenin wasn’t a Liberal? Interesting

Coach | 12/27/2008, 11:57 am EST

D&C, just because someone calls himself a liberal, doesn’t make him a liberal. Actions are the defining factor. Joe Lieberman calls himself an independent, yet he’s a lemming. Bush calls himself a compassionate conservative, yet nothing he does brings to mind compassion or conservation.

Still trying to pick fights huh?

DirtyDennis | 12/27/2008, 12:17 pm EST

I guess this calls for a dusting off of terminology. Left/Liberal. Right/Conservative. All too simple and too wrong. And to what point? To make a point? It doesn’t work so there’s no sense doing it.

I have an easier system: pricks and not-pricks, with a special section for not-coherent.

Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Nixon, Pinochet, Cheney – Prick

Lincoln, TR, FDR, JFK and Carter – Not-Prick

Reagan, Bushes – Not-Coherent

To me a liberal/progressive is soneome who wants gov’t to make life better for everyone. Who wants a gov’t to stand up for the principles stated in the DoI. Who wants a gov’t to protect the individual from other individuals AND the gov’t.

A conservative is someone who stands against such things and actually tries to prevent or subvert them.

Clean air, clean water and clean gov’t.

TinFoilHat | 12/27/2008, 1:59 pm EST

“Liberal philosophy prevents them from committing crimes.”

No. What I said was that the liberal philosophy does not lend itself to blatant intellectual dishonesty. I make no claims for the actions of individuals.

TinFoilHat | 12/27/2008, 2:03 pm EST

BTW
Blagojevich is not really a liberal. Get this straight: Democrat does NOT equal Liberal.

DirtyDennis | 12/27/2008, 6:20 pm EST

TinMan,

Mayhaps Obama should re-issue the $2 with that line, in latin, of course, across the front. Make sure they highlight the NOT!! Non?

D&C | 12/28/2008, 1:25 pm EST

Coach, You might want to get out a dictionary and learn the difference between CONSERVATIVE and CONSERVATION.

Dennis, How can you walk down the street and not trip with those rose colored glasses? Your list is missing the great god of all things DNC, pre-2008, William Jefferson Clinton, why is that?
You also need to do some research on the vast difference between Liberal and Progressive, I know it is the trendy thing to try and re- brand the failed and tired ideology of Liberalism into Progressive, but you are doing a disservice to those of the 1900’s who were Progressive. But then who ideologically pure can a party be when they have a plagiarist as the VP and WJC as their poster boy.

I have no interest in picking fights with unarmed people!

DirtyDennis | 12/28/2008, 2:08 pm EST

DC,

I understand. The loss must be devestating.

I’d put Billy Boy in the not-relevant category.

DirtyDennis | 12/28/2008, 2:14 pm EST

DC,

By the way, doofus, I wasn’t saying Liberalism and Progressivism were the same. I’m saying I subcribe to most of both philosophies.

I confess, my rose-colored glasses to promote navigation dilemmas, but I prefer that to the fog in which you perpetually reside.

TinFoilHat | 12/28/2008, 5:23 pm EST

Clinton a God? LOL! I’d say he’s all too human.

Coach | 12/30/2008, 1:17 am EST

D&C, if he didn’t ‘conserve the wealth’ (part of the definition of a conservative), then he practiced bad conservation. But, only a pretentious puke would lower himself to that shallow of a rebuttal.
Bring it on Meat. You guys have had your a$$ handed to you in the last two elections. But, yet, we’re the ones that don’t know what we’re talking about……..
