Could it be that Karl Rove is going to desert the loers and do an about-face? He does so like to be asociated with winners.

Jed Clampett

It’s scary to see how close Karl’s map is to the actual results. So far, I only see Indiana as an error in his math.

Watching the court proceedings by the FCC about obscene language on television, the arguments are that words should be banned because they may harm children that could be watching… the word fuc# is too sexual to be used, regardless of it’s content.
To me the argument is absurd when you realize the number of acts of violence and crime that are depicted on television during primetime, and the way they are depicted and sometimes glorified.
The arguments are ridiculous at best, prohibition never works as expected, education is the only way, children are exposed to bad language in their environment regardless of what TV says, they are exposed to acts of violence and crime mainly through the television… but I guess they think that would not harm our youth or the way they would view the world and act within it.

Evidently this is just a ploy to put greater control and conditioning to acceptance of violence via prohibition and content control rather than the right way, offering more in the way of righteous action instead of what is currently presented. And the argument that the broadcasters only react to what the market wants, reality TV has proven that the public will watch whatever they are fed, particularly when their choices are limited.

Peace

I’m wondering why the media continues to give this douche bag airtime, in print, web and R&TV. His day – as Bush’s – has passed. Time to maginalize him and others of the same ilk. Shut the spotlight off. Thank you.

Marsha Blackburn(R-Tn) is on the tube talking bi-partisanship and in the same breath is blaming the terrible mess the USA is in on the Democratic “controlled” Congress. Somethings will never change.

The Conservatives need to swallow their defeat and really “work together” with our new President and do what is right for our country and not what is best for the NeoCons. Their attitude is what has gotten us into this mess.
