Nail Endorses Coffin

11/1/08, 4:02 pm EST

Sixty-seven year old Dick Cheney endorses, John McCain, a man five years his senior.

UPDATE: Obama congratulates McCain:

I’d like to congratulate Senator McCain on this endorsement because he really earned it. That endorsement didn’t come easy. Senator McCain had to vote 90 percent of the time with George Bush and Dick Cheney to get it. He served as Washington’s biggest cheerleader for going to war in Iraq, and supports economic policies that are no different from the last eight years. So Senator McCain worked hard to get Dick Cheney’s support.

Now that’s an endorsement! LOL!

Even the New York Times was willing break the rules when “The One” does something this egregious!

Responding to a report that a Kenyan Aunt of Senator Barack Obama was living in the United States illegally, his campaign on Saturday said that he had no knowledge of her immigration status and that “any and all appropriate laws” should be followed.

The worst thing about McCain is that you can’t believe most of what he says. He stretches the truth so far I’m surprised he hasn’t had a liable suit against him. The more I hear about him the less I like him. With a sigh of relief… I’m so glad that it isn’t 4 years ago, I would have voted for him then but with his smear campaign, liablous campaign, I could never vote for someone that I couldn’t trust. I also fear for Obama, listening to McCains speeches, they edge on the side of rasizm, good ol boy, and insighting radical feelings towards Barack. It scares me to death to think that the United States has come to this point, where half of us like this man and approve of him as our next President.

Actually, Al Qaeda has already weighed in in favor of McCain:

wow, how about that, the CIA assessment fits in with mine.

Al-Qaeda wants us in Iraq wasting our treasure and blood on mercenaries rather than involving ourselves with the real opponent, those who created the Taliban; isn’t it time we stop making battle in an artificial front?

The most important thing to determine before embarking on an endeavor as dangerous and unpredictable as war is to properly identify the enemy and have a clear definition of what victory entails, unfortunately, this lot of ‘experts’ hasn’t even learned the very fist lesson of ‘the art of war’, how can you expect them to do anything efficiently and correctly when they have been learning and implementing exactly the opposite in our business arena?
If they had at least read their enemy’s declaration of war they might have avoided some of the mistakes (understanding your enemy is paramount in war), perhaps the two are on the same side and have been coordinating from the beginning, using longstanding family connections to coordinate their actions.
Both families stand to win much in the way of contracts if a global conflict breaks out due to the way they have positioned themselves in the marketplace and the monopolies they have developed.

Jed, you and I both know that Bush and Cheney, and therefore all their lemmings, don’t even remotely care about the ‘war on terror’. ExxonMobil and the rest will be pumping oil out of Iraq for the next 25 years……..

Al Qaeda, apparently, knew of the desire to spend a boatload of our own money on the venture, and went ahead and accommodated us. Remember, the invasion WASN’T because of Al Qaeda in Iraq. They just made sure we stay(ed) there a long, long, long time.

Now, resource-less Afghanistan is devolving. Pakistan is accommodating. And our answer is to do exactly what Clinton was villified for doing: Sending missle attacks into training camps………How ironic.

Irony is the devil’s theme song.

If the administration, or republican leadership in general, really cared about that which they themselves warned about and used to terrorize the American public into supporting them; they would have 100% screening of containers coming into the country like Canada and France do to prevent Pakistan from making a special delivery.
Unfortunately, they don’t feel a mushroom cloud over Dallas, or LA or NY is more important than the inconvenience imposed on businesses by delaying their contaminated products from nations with poor labor or chemical pollution laws.
Why do businesses go to other countries to set up their operations? because they do not wish to follow the laws we, Americans, have determined to be necessary to protect the workers and the environment in which all humans must exist.

“All the military bases that we had at the time of 9/11 .. we had a huge military budget.. we had 10,000 nuclear weapons. What did that do about Terrorism? did that stop 9/11? No, Terrorism isn’t stymied, isn’t prevented by having a huge military. In fact, I might point out the opposite. That is, the more military bases you have in other places the more you trouble people in these countries. They don’t want these bases.. The people of Japan do not want our military bases on Okinawa. People in South Korea do not want our military bases in South Korea. The people of the Philippines have protested the military bases there, and these military bases just arouse people to opposition to the US. If you want to do something about terrorism, you can’t do it with military bases. You can’t do it with war. You can’t do it with bombing. What you do when you bomb people? You create more terrorists.” [Howard Zinn 2008]

On the day after 9/ll I told my Intro to Business Management class at Elon University in N.C. (site of Scarahy’s college visit) that the bases and troops that we had installed in the Middle East were the cause of 9/11 blowback – not some Cheney/Bush fantasy of hating democracy.

Let’s hope Obama starts reducing our presence in these areas (with the long-term goal of installing the much-delayed diplomatic channels to legally gain U.S. desires) immediately.

Beauty is not just about the hair and face, but also the nails and other parts of the body.
