$150 Million?!?!
That literally made my jaw drop.
Oh, also, Colin Powell endorsed Obama.

Tim, You missed a tag and made a total mess, should be easy enough to look through you posting and find the missing closer.
How much does it cost to run a campaign in this country, huh? And why aren’t we spending that much money in making our Job Pool and educational systems strong so we can truly compete in the global marketplace instead of merely giving most of our wealth to a few leaders of industry?

TD, Your problem is after the closing tags for embed and object. You have the color tag for the second link without an opener tag.

I know what you did, you embedded the video of Joe instead of the link to the endorsement by Collin Powell. Should be easy enough to change if you look for the a href tag and change what you put in it.

With that kind of money you know who Obama will be loyal to? Lobbies and special interests. Sorry, I forgot Obama is about change!
TinFoilHat | 10/19/2008, 5:39 pm EST
Dazed,
The thing that makes Obama’s fundraising such a ground-breaking news story is that the vast majority of his funds come from individual contributors organized by his impressive Internet presence. If anyone is beholden to lobbyists, its McCain who’s campaign is largely run by lobbyists.

$150 Million in one month. Where are all this money coming from?
It sure doesn’t look like AMERICA is in an ECONOMIC CRISIS anymore.
I mean, this money is NOT even for charity. It is for politics.

Obama is going to be another big money machine politician, regardless of what the Obamaites want to you to believe.
At some point the punch bowl empties and reality strikes!
P.S. CAN SOMEONE WHO ISN’T ON A GANGA BREAK, PLEASE FIX THE HTML ON THE FRONT PAGE??? IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS ALL DAY!

Obama has received a greater percentage of his funding from private individuals than any presidential candidate in history. The fact that private individuals are willing to give to his campaign is not a sign that the depression is over. In fact, I would say that it is a sign that people are more concerned about their future than ever, and that they see Obama as a possible solution. People are always willing to pay to ensure a brighter future, especially when they are frightened about it.

“$150 Million in one month. Where are all this money coming from?”
Well, if you try to find out, you find it. Here’s a good source. Apparently, 92% of Sen Obama’s Money is coming from individual donors.

Compare that to McPalin…

Make note of the ‘Other’, ‘incomplete data’, ‘undisclosed’ entries and their percentages of the total. You can go and find out who the actual donors are and how much they donated as well.
If you are interested in who is running, check here.

I notice that they are using pollsters to create the illusion of closeness of the race. This is a fallacy. Just look at the number of people Sen Obama drew at his last event compared to the people being drawn by McPalin.
Another point of worry, McCain’s last rally where he compelled his supporters to ‘fight, fight, fight’. These are the Key Words I was telling you about before. Just like ‘class warfare’ and ’soc.ialism’. McCain chooses to ignore that he’s enjoyed a soc.ialized HEALTHCARE system since he entered the NAVY and now in congress. Hypocritical? perhaps, more likely manipulative. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people willing to be manipulated.
Don’t forget ‘the Bradley effect’ and the famous ‘Dewey defeats Truman’ newspaper headline. If you think an election can’t be stolen, then go back to 2000 where the Supreme Court prevented the completion of recounts to accurately determine the will of the people. The election of the president of the most ‘democratic’ nation on Earth was decided on under 550 votes. Decidedly not a clear majority. In other countries (even russia), a clear majority is required, typically 51%.
Just some food for thought.

This election is the first time I ever gave money to a specific candidate. I’m proud to be one of the individuals who contributed 94% of Obama’s campaign funds.
