Sarah Palin. You’ve drilled your way into America’s heart.
We in the pundit class thought John McCain had to build a bridge between Wall Street and Main Street. You proved us wrong. He’s got to lay pipe.

Did you happen to catch the daily show last night highlighting all the hypocresy of the right wing at their ‘convention’? Just like I said, those guys in the GOP are convinced the American public are idiots that don’t have the attention span God gave a gnat. And in some cases they are right.
Here in the bible belt I’ve been hearing all kinds of lame excuses to denigrate Sen Obama and flimsy ideas of support for McCain/Palin. What it comes down to, from what I’ve been able to pull out of them, it’s simply stated in the immortal words of the grand stand up philosopher Mel Brooks in blazing saddles “the sheriff is a… toooooooooot. The sheriff is a… ding, dong, ding, dong”. And they are afraid he will make them pay for all past injustices. Get over it, all is past, time to move forward together or give it all up.
Did you see what Mrs. McCain was wearing? was she trying to be midas or merely representing the color that made her wealthy, beer, or rather it’s byproduct after passing through the human body.
Should we allow these ‘elites’ the throne of the world after what they have done to it after these last 8 years? I think not.
Republicans lie about religion, lie about protecting the creation of earth, lie about the impact of drilling for oil, lie about the safety of our food and ports, etc etc. Stop believing the decivers and make the country work for the whole rather than the 3%-ers that own everything.
Take them out of office now.
BTW- if you are on the eastern seaboard, please secure yourselves and get out now, she’s gonna hit those expensive homes on the seaside with a vengance, if not hanna, Ike. Hianesport, hamptons even.
Peace

Jon Stewart did a good job of making Gingrich look foolish as well (like pointing out McCain’s lack of executive experience). But you’re right Jed. The contrasting videos of Rove, Palin, and O’Reilly were priceless.

Sarah Palin said John McCain is the same, implying Barack Obama presents different faces to those who hear him. I’m going to take her at face value. At a fundraising dinner in Arizona a decade ago, John McCain asked, “Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly?” adding, “Because Janet Remo is her father” This remark packed into it’s 15 words several layers of misogyny: it disparaged the looks of Chelsea then 18 and barely out of high school; it portrayed Reno as a man when she was serving as the first female US Attorney General; and it implied that Hillary Clinton was engaged in a lesbian affair while the Monica Lewinsky scandal was blazing.
Any of these elements would seem potentially terminal for a public figure. Yet here he is 10 years later presenting himself as a champion of feminism appointing Sarah Palin as his running mate. The puzzle is explained partly by the US press, which barely reported the story. The Washington Post broke it in June 1998 but declined to relate the joke on the grounds “it was too vile to repeat.” Clearly the American electorate are viewed as wayward children in need of moral protection!
After his misogynist joke. McCain apologised to Bill Clinton but interestingly made no direct apology to the three women involved. Clearly to do so was more difficult than withstanding torture in a Vietnamese prisoner of war camp. This is the fearless former war hero prepared to take anyone on. Be careful Sarah Palin. Do you really know the man you are running with? Is he really the same or do you think he was capable of making a mistake. When Barack Obama makes a mistake he puts his hand up. Palin was an impressive speaker but the aggressive style and misleading comments took us back to the old style politics we so desperately need to leave behind

Wow Roger, I’d forgotten about that and am not even sure I knew it was McCain. I DO remember the incident.
I hope you have proof and I hope everyone repeats that story over and over. I can’t believe the internet would let it slide.

Hey Roger Boon, whatup?
I`ll admit the McCain joke was distasteful. And picking on a an 18 yr old is out of bounds. But can you honestly say that you haven`t made comments in jest that you wish you could take back.
Do you really want to go down the list of things Dems have said about Reps that are so outrages and they weren`t joking.
Joe Biden has been known to put his foot in his mouth.
The point is tasteless jokes don`t make the sum of the person. I`m more concerned with what people say
when they`re serious.
Are you as outraged at the personal attacks of the media against Sarah Palin. Like the one on the cover of US Magazine (the sister publication of Rolling Stone) showing her and her Down Syndrom baby with the big headline BABIES,LIES AND SCANDALS. A couple of months earlier they had a flattering photo of Michelle and Barrack on the cover with this sugary sweet headline WHY HE LOVES HER. Gag!
Let`s not have selective outrage.
But I do have one question. Are you sure Janet Reno`s not a man??

PALIN FLAME-THROWER GOT STEINEM OUT OF HER HOLE
Neo-Marxist Steinem, notorious for her leading role in the human sacrifice of over 40 million Christian children, had gone into hiding. Palin with a flame-thrower brought this witch out screaming, to be bayoneted by the Reagan Conservatives.

PALIN WITH HER CRUCIFIX AND GUN GOT STEINEM IN THE CLOSET WITH HER BLOODY HAMMER
Christian women morally corrupted by Steinem are redeemed by Palin. This ongoing struggle in the Holy Cultural War, Christians against Neo-Marxists, exemplifies the eternal struggle between good and evil. Because the sacrilegious sacrificial killing of over 45 million children by their mothers was politically instigated by Steinem, she is now condemned to burn at the stake.

Jeugenen,
Your apparent fundamentalist christian jihad brings to mind the tempering Islamic tenant that the MAJOR jihad should always be within one’s self to make one’s self the change that you want to see in the world. Your fundamentalist hate is showing my friend. Only acts of violence separate you from Islamic Fundamentalists. Careful my friend, you tread on shaky ground. Always remember, we live in a secular democratic republic. If you want a theocracy, go start your own country, thank you.
