The Contractor Surge

8/12/08, 12:42 pm EST

Woah!:

A staggering 190,000 contractors were working in Iraq under U.S.-funded contracts as of early 2008 — far more than the 150,000 troops in the country. The $100B price tag for this shadow army of non-uniformed workers has accounted for 20% of the cost of the war, according to a new report from the Congressional Budget Office.

The coalition of the paid now outnumbers the few and the proud.

What, no one want’s to comment on why so much of our money is going to private companies that don´t pay any taxes? I would think for sure the right wingers on our midst would rile against how their leadership is giving charity to huge corporations. Isn´t that kind of stuff anathema to you guys? Could it possibly be that when your leadership does it and you benefit, then it´s ok if so many others are harmed? What happened to your compassion and sence of self and comunity? Americans are turning into isolated automatons working for a totalitarian that finds it perfectly fine to stop giving you pensions but is capable of giving himself a $5 million bonus.
Is this what was meant by a more perfect union, where only the kabals supposed to be protected by government?

This sort of capitalism will die a slow, hard death Jed. Unfortunatley, it’s also going to create a ton of enemies of the U.S., which, apparently, is what the right-wingers want. So, YES, they’re all for this. They’re for ANYTHING that the rest of the world is against…..

Just like their resistance to man-made climate change. Just like their resistance to same-sex marraiges, socialized health care, nationalized energy, blah, blah, blah. If the majority is for it, right-wingers are against it…..it’s called conservatism. Conserve white wealth!!!!!

bingo!!! but it’s not so much a race thing, that is also a dissembling.

Is it not strange that they seem to lie about everything, including their reverence for the religion they purport to espouse?

If you pay close attention you will realize they bow to a soul less God with a head like a hole that wants to know it all.

This is not a matter of dissembling or purporting…this is about coach sticking his anathema in Jed’s espouse. The matter of 5 million big ones is neither here nor there, nor is it an automaton. I wouldn’t even trade it for a more perfect kabal.
