Georgia and the Utter Fecklessness of Condi Rice

8/12/08, 12:22 am EST

One would have thought that having an ace Kremlinologist on board as Secretary of State might have helped America defuse this Russo/Georgian powder keg.

But apparently this resurgence of Soviet style aggression (re-birth pangs, perhaps?) wasn’t enough to make Dr. Rice disrupt her vacation.

I do hope that this episode is the final nail in the coffin of the myth of Condi’s competence.

PS: This is by far the most readable and intelligible primer on the conflict I’ve seen to date.

OBAMA EXPOSES SCHEUNEMANN’S MARXIST TACTICS

Neo-Con McCain’s foreign policy adviser, Neo-Marxist Scheunemann, is notorious for his role in successfully provoking the War against Iraq; and his failure to provoke total war against Iran, and his failure to defeat Russia in Ab-khazia and S. Os-setia. The illegal and un-patriotic Neo-Con Bush Iraq War sacrificed over a trillion dollars and the priceless lives of more than 4,000 young patriotic volunteers, for the sole benefit of the World condemned Judeofascist Israeli land robbers.

When Obama discovered that Scheunemann had been paid nearly $300,000 by Saak-ash-vili to provoke bellicose American opposition to Russia, in collusive support of Georgia’s bloody military offensive against ethnic Russian Georgians, he exposed this conflict of interest as motivating McCain’s insane outbursts of bellicose treasonous deception, “John McCain’s top foreign policy adviser lobbied for, and has a vested interest in, the Republic of Georgia and McCain has mirrored the position advocated by the government.”

That Neo-Con Bush now demands a billion dollars from Congress, to compensate Saak-ash-vili for starting his utterly disastrous war, suggests that this was part of the crooked deal. Tragically, these high crimes might get the Georgians a billion dollars in exchange for Ab-khazia and S. Os-setia, and burden the Americans with greater debt and inflation.

TFH. Study the early engineers for clues to follow. JC maxwell was good with electronics and mechanics. Personally, I have my heroes in the forgotten and derided figures of electrical and nature engineers and no amount of bs from liars and crooks will change what I understood from such wise men. More power to you friend. TFH…. perhaps a faraday cage to protect from the electromagnetic trash we are subjected to might be in order.

Time for that later, young man. You just keep doing good and it will be returned your way. Sortta. Unless the Cons SO screw things up; which is fodder for NOT pursuing a career at the moment. Things are unraveling and there’s no telling what the next decade will see unravel.

I believe it was an engineering degree: mechanical? Electronic? Whatever, engineering would seem to be what this country needs so we can convert to new energy forms.

You’re just in time for the election. Missed you during the primaries. I just KNOW you’d have sided with me for Hil. Right?

And you as well Dennis. I am one academic degree richer than we last met, but still don’t have a good job. I would love to blame the economy, but truth be known, I haven’t been pushing as hard as I could have.

Welcome back Hat. Hope you are well.

Nothing can save the US position now. Does any news source other than the Daily Show recognize the inherent irony of our situation. I’m sure the Russians are having a good laugh over republican verbiage like “in the 21st century nations can no longer get away with invading a sovereign nation”..blah blah. Where’s our moral authority? Oh yeah, we SQANDERED it all around SIX YEARS ago.

When Secretary Condoleezza Rice declares it is not 1968, observers can’t agree more because the then US administrations was not living in fantasy and self-deceit.

According to Zbigniew Brzezinski, the elder statesman:

The United States, particularly, shoulders the major burden of mobilizing an collective international response. This invasion of Georgia by Russia is a very sad commentary on eight years of self-delusion in the White House regarding Putin and his regime. Two memorable comments stand out. First, when Bush first met Putin and said he looked into his soul and could trust him. Second, not long ago, Condi Rice claimed that American relations with Russia have never been better in history!

For making real change USA needs to listen to people who have their ears on the ground. Try Britain’s
Honorary Counsel to Abkhazia for a start.

Ossetia for the Ossetians!!

Abkhazia for the Abkhazians!!

Turf wars. One set of thugs fighting it out with another set of thugs over who gets the most toys.

Like Afghanistan. Like Iraq. Like half a dozen ’states’ in North and Central Africa. Business as Usual. So far, you could call this the Century Of Thuggery.

blood for oil of olay

South Ossetia and Abkhazia are Georgian territory. The notion of ethnic tension in these regions is a farce. The Russians support the local criminal element who fan these flames to legitimize an ongoing Russian occupation of Georgia. ‘Siding with tyrants’ is a bit extreme, I would suggest ‘kowtowing’ is a more appropriate choice of words.

(Tim, you need to bring back the vocabulator.)

Excellent article Tim, tnx. Puts matters in a slightly different light. The international waters have never been grayer than they are now.

Wonder what ever happened to Ol Dmitri.
