The Race So Far

7/31/08, 7:57 pm EST

Obama, Axelrod & Co. are playing not to lose.

Against McCain and third-rate Rovian attack-meister Steve Schmidt that seems plenty good enough to win.

This is truly the kind of award-winning, bleeding-edge campaign journalism I’ve come to expect from the Rolling Stone National Affairs Desk. Thank you Tim Dickinson.

well, after all it’s only an american political campaign and at this point, with the west crumbling as it is, i’d think a little humor and less lecturing is in order. actually, with hunter thompson and mailer out of the mix, i just don’t know what the f..k to do.
and without the candidates continuing to play intellectual dodge-ball what else would we have to do? the necessary systemic changes won’t come with either…the music in the white house might be a tad better with the junior senator, nonetheless.

Where’s my comment??? All the time this S#*! happens. Anyway, for whoever’s interested, there’s a really good editorial about McCain’s racist tendencies over at capitolhillblue . com

The same weenies in the media who let Bushney denigrate this country into second-rate status, and falling, are now performing Max Sennett (three stooges, you name your favorite comedy carricatures from the past) routines all over themselves trying to cover the campaign.

All the while, Bushney gets a free ride into the sunset, snubbing its nose at the American public. If you’ll look closely, it’s riding into the sunset in a semi hauling the nation’s ’silver.’

Physician, heal thyself.

The Race So Far…..

Barack Obama’s too popular.

It’s okay for John McCain to continually err in his alleged strongpoint (foreign affairs), because he’s having an ‘elder moment’.

Barack Obama’s a flip-flopper because he didn’t take public funding (even though 90% of his donors donated $10 or less).

John McCain has ‘nuanced’, not flip-flopped, his stance regarding taxes, drilling, the war, and abortion.

Barack Obama’s wife allegedly hates America (even though she said she’s proud).

John McCain’s advisors (some former) have said we’re ‘whiners’, ‘Katrina was caused by the gays’, and the ‘Muslims are going to kill us all, unless we kill them first.’, but, we’re not supposed to care about that.

Obama said he has a different name and doesn’t look like the other people on the face of our money (acknowledging the reason people will be afraid to vote for him).

McCain’s camp says he’s a racist, to the joy of many.

Yep, sound, ethical coverage and analysis of this ever-important election. Keep it up ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX.

PBS rules.

Here’s a shocker: now that he ‘has the nomination,’ Obama wants to set the MI and FL delegations.

Is it possible that the only ‘change’ Mr. Obama wants is who gets the best seat in Air Force One?
