A Note to the Nitwad Schedulers at ABC

4/16/08, 8:08 pm EST

A presidential debate, like a live sporting event, should be broadcast live regardless of the time zone.

Live blogging is difficult when you’re on a 3-hour tape delay.

Interesting how stephanopolous set up the question of the 70’s anarchists right after he just faulted the media for playing that old political game. Of course it was a set up question that HRC fielded it as if it had been practiced. Sen. Obama’s answer was perfect… well, your husband pardoned two of them.

HRC is addicted to the old politics game, it will drown her in the end, the intelligent among the american people will see right through her elitist attitude.

Man, she sounds like Bush, she’s making sure she hits all the talking points and doles out all the platitudes and sound bites her pollsters tell her will work.
It’s like the xylons have a candidate in HRC and the humans have Sen Obama… Don’t let the machines keep us enslaved.

Stephenopawhatever got his Ayers talking point from Sean Hannity. ABC is retarded.

I wish Charlie, I’m sorry, Charles, or George would have asked Hillary why, when asked last week if she thought the $800,000 her husband received from supporters of the Colombian Free Trade Agreement was a conflict of interest, she only cackled and said, “How do you answer a question like that?”
A simple yes or no would have done. But instead she avoided the question all together. And, I agree that many of her answers tonight seemed scripted and disingenuous. Obama not only came across as genuine and dignified, but also as human and easy to relate to. Not just another talking head telling us what we want to hear.

Why did they keep interrupting Obama and allowing Hillary to say whatever she wanted without pause?

Was it just me or where they flinging softballs at her and bowling balls at him?
Jed’s and BD are right, she seemed scripted and prepackaged as well as robotic. Even though she seemed to know the questions beforehand, she always gave the politically practiced response without any substance, Obama’s answers where genuine and ad libbed, particularly refreshing was his explanations as to why he held the views that he did… I like a candidate that let’s me into his thinking process instead of just asking me to ‘trust them’, they know what’s best for us and we don’t need to know why.

Time to take America back with Barak!!!

Just think what an idiot Bush made McCain out to be when they debated in 2000. If/when McCain and Obama have a debate it’s going to be embarrassing.

“My friends… I know I called my wife the ‘C’ word in public. But I simply misspoke. I really meant to say ‘runt.’ She’s the youngest you know, and boy was she small when she was born… Help me Joe!”

Yeah…and WHAT was Hillary doing with her eyes! It was creeping me out a little, and made it hard for me to concentrate on what she was saying. Like Tammy Faye Baker, but with less mascara.

I like how Obama pointed out that he was only 8 years old when Ayers pulled that radical sh!t back in the 70’s. Bill pardoning a couple of Ayers associates was alright though?

luckas | 4/17/2008, 9:08 am EST

obama did ok only. the clinton campaign seems focussed on 2012.

Jerry's Bong | 4/17/2008, 12:18 pm EST

I hope she gets that eye thing resolved by then.
