Seriously, this is all about the last election and the stupidity that goes with the pretense that the person running for office somehow has to identify with regular Joe or Jane. I don’t vote for people because they are like me, I vote for them because they are far more qualified, in my opinion, to handle a job I couldn’t. I voted for Kerry in 2004. Can I relate to him? No. Does it matter if I could? No. Did I think he was intelligent enough to handle being President? Yes. What do the people want in office? Some fat guy painted up and wearing his favorite football jersey while eating wings and drinking beer? The people should take their right to vote much more seriously.
