Obama Declaring Victory in Texas

3/5/08, 6:43 pm EST

The Obama campaign is claiming a victory where it counts, in the delegate totals.

Senator Clinton will likely net only two delegates up-for-grabs in the Texas Primary. Based on a large sample of caucus results in all 31 state senate districts, Senator Obama is projected to post a substantial victory in the Texas caucus and, thereby, net at least seven delegates. This means that Senator Obama will win at least five more pledged delegates from Texas than Senator Clinton.

To find out how the Lone Star state was won, check out my cover story in the latest Rolling Stone.

“Clinton and McCain are not remotely the same thing. Grow up.”

They both definitely seem to be employing the same type of fear-mongering and other dirty tricks in their campaigns. I don’t see Obama doing this. If one had to choose which candidate was more “Grown Up,” Obama has them all beat by a landslide. Maybe it is you who should grow up, Jeff.

I still have trouble understanding how the exit polls can be so different than the actual vote. Until the last couple of election cycles, the exit polls closely followed the vote. The logic being, a person may change their mind after talking to a surveyor and vote differently than what they stated, but for a discrepancy to occurr after the vote was given would imply a large number of people misleading the surveyors. Not likely to happen. Does it not seem odd to anyone else how much discrepancy there is these days between these two measures?
I also noticed that the discrepancies were limited to the large voting districts where the discrepancy would have the most impact. This discrepancy is compounded even further by the landslide in the caucus of the texas two step. This would imply that Sen Clinton’s supporters were willing to come out in droves to support her for the vote but not so much for the caucus. Very odd indeed. This really needs to be looked at, perhaps it would be possible if Texas had mandated paper copies to the voting machine printouts.

I can’t even write down how happy I am that me and the wife worked for Obama here in Texas. You people in Pennsylvania need to get with it, everything is at stake.

Yes, by all means, let’s base our votes on “Jericho.” Very sound.

Clinton and McCain are not remotely the same thing. Grow up.

GOOD! Now the rest of us get out and vote to defeat Clinton and McCain. It’s our chance, our future! Please! To those of us who want to take our country back-OUR COUNTRY-(take a tip from the little-known tv series, Jericho)and study our history. We can do it. I don’t want to feel as badly and embarrassed as I did the last 2 elections, do you? Forget Hillary and McCain. Go for it, people. Fight the fight. Go and win with Sen. Barack Obama!
