The open-source campaign for Obama just keeps adding more star power. We’ve never seen a campaign so comfortable letting its most passionate supporters, stars or not, take responsibility for spreading the candidate’s core message. This is advertising you could never pay for.

We’re literally seeing the rules of politics being reinvented in this campaign. I promise you, you will not have a Hillary-Clinton-In-New-Hampshire moment watching her latest, tired, fearmongering ad:

Oh look, it’s LBJ’s dandelion ad all over again! Resorting to republican tactics? She is desperate!

I wonder who was answering the phone at the White House when slick Willie was getting his knob polished by Monica.

(Jed Clampett)

The phone rings in the middle of the night…
“Hello!??!! Oh, Hello President Med… Miedvadaba… whatever!!!”

Coach | 3/1/2008, 11:33 am EST

Jed, President Shrub recently looked into Medveded’s soul through an email with him……..

Anyone remember where Bear Bryant Coached his last game??

The obvious next step for Clinton is to start calling Barack Obama, Barack Hussein Obama. She’s got nothing else to lose, above all, her dignity.

I dunno. I’m a massive Obama supporter, but will.i.am needs to chill a bit.

There’s something a little creepy about hearing that o-bam-a chant over and over like that.

Like the chants of
“Hammer, Hammer, Hammer…”
on Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.”

But, O is still the man!

Obama is the N-Sync of Politics.

Little Talent.

Sounds good for a while.

Cute enough to get the brainless to swoon.

And get’s old- fast.

Wanting Change | 3/3/2008, 5:14 pm EST

I just want to start off by saying that this is one of the most excitting time in goverment in my life time.

I have read above and these guys that question the song and the chant as in saying it’s silly, Dangerious, or gay…. Ill admit a lol when reading it.. but Im realy moved by the “call to action”.

The last eight years has not been a poor reflection on goverment by a poor reflection of us as a people. We allowed everything to happen the way it did… Yea, Bush is a tard but we elected him. ( We elected the guy we wanted to have a beer with instead of the guy that is nominated for the nobel prize)….And the rest of the goverent has allowed him to do what he wanted regardless of the laws of the land. ( Wire taping getts to me the most.. The policy was fine and I understand people want to be safe but at what price.. NH says it the best ” Live Free or Die” ) The US Congress is a direct representation of the people. And it is becuase of our lack of intrest and complette ignorence the Congress has just let him screw over the common man time and time again. Finaly when Dem toke back over congres the stood their ground for a second and then gave in.. I was ready for the change back then and instead of makeing changes as the Dems promissed they held off for a month and gave in. Once on vacation Pres. Bush got on the tv and basicly called them all wimps for not funding the war quicker. Now just incase you are wondering … I am a Registered Republican…. I belive in what the part had stood for.. Not what it is now…

I realy would ask anyone that reads this to realy get out there and vote…I suggest Obama because aleast out of all of them. He talks about bring us all together. And right now thats what we need… The heck with flag burning , gay marriage, or a 100 year war… Lest Solve enviromental, Socail, and medical problems. At least the ones that effects OUR problems..

Pocket Change,

Please, say you want things to be ‘right,’ or say you want things ‘better,’ but don’t say you want things different. What’s that? Worse is a change.

OpenPolitik | 9/2/2008, 6:19 pm EST

Lets be clear about one thing: what you are talking about here is endorsement and propagation of a political message – not Open Source Politics.

An example of open source politics in this situation would be giving Jessica Alba access to Team Obama’s policy, letting her potentially add elements of her own ‘expertise’ on global warming.

Sure, Team Obama is seemingly letting anyone make a campaign message of support to distribute to their relevant social community, but this is not Open Source Politics.
