how ’bout that!! but what about clinton’s support from ex-seal, war criminal bob kerry? does that increase her standing?

Why would anyone vote for 4-8 more years of Bill Clinton living in the White House?
It was dysfunction then, it will be now.

David | 2/8/2008, 3:09 pm EST

Mario…better look at your recent history.

You can’t tell me that you’re better off now than you were when Clinton left office. Wake up bud.

Just thought I would comment on this. I am a 24 year old male who is a strong Obama support. I consider myself very liberal. If Clinton won I would find myself very disenfranchised. The democratic party has the opportunity to grab on to my generation and hold them for quite a long time if they Obama wins the nomination. I feel that if the middle aged women and those over 65 pull Clinton ahead like the exit polls show they have been doing, then they will lose us. We want a president that speaks to the entire nation and it is no surprise to me that mccain seems to do that better than hillary.

Trey said everything I’ve been thinking. Dems will lose the youth if Hillary gets the nomination.

…Check that– if it’s a straight-up victory, the youth might put it behind them. But if the superdelegates give it to her… forget it. The Establishment has to go.

J | 2/8/2008, 10:58 pm EST

Obama barely edges Hillary when it comes to the so-called “youth vote”. I think young women would beg to differ with all of the men on this board.

If Hillary wins the nomination, most democrats young and old will vote for her. Who wants Bush’s lap-dog Mc Cain?!?!? 100 more years in Iraq, f-you man!

Stop the sexism and the scare tactics. You’re just trying to scare people into voting for Obama!

BurnDaddy | 2/8/2008, 11:34 pm EST

@J

You are dreaming. Hillary Clinton is so polarizing of a figure that I have no doubt that if she wins the nomination many Democrats WILL vote for McCain. He practically is a Democrat, if you believe what the neo-cons say. McCain has a least shown the ability to act in a bi-partisan manner, something I believe Hillary is incapable of. Do you want a president who can at least hear what the other side has to say or one who says, “my way or no way!” Obama would be a true diplomat for this country. He’s even been chastised for being willing to talk to “the other side,” to negotiate a common ground. I don’t care if it’s the Republicans or the Iranians, nothing can be accomplished without a dialog and the ability to see the other’s point of view. I hope for the sake of moving this country forward, all of you who have yet to vote, vote for Barack Obama. He’s something we haven’t seen in a presidential candidate in a long time. My lifetime at least.

marcy | 2/8/2008, 11:58 pm EST

If you are voting for Hillary Clinton simply because she’s a woman and you’re a woman, you are doing a disservice to your country and all women in general. Obama has shown that he can rise above the petty b.s. and do what would be right for the WHOLE country. Clinton has only shown that she wants to win at ANY cost. Just my 2 cents, and I am a woman.

Jed,

There are Liars, DAMNED Liars, statisticians, child molesters and pollsters.

Thought I’d toss in the child molster thingie just for a sense of perspective. Hmmm, wonder where the media would go in that hierarchy?

No one is going to scare me into voting for anyone. I’m through with the scare tactics. It is offensive to me to suggest that I would vote for a candidate because they share my race or gender. We need someone to set a new tone in this country!
-middle aged white woman for Obama

Dr. Ralph | 2/9/2008, 12:30 pm EST

Hell you guys can’t lose… we’ve got a Democrat winning the Republican nomination. Hitlery is too old and tired looking to inspire the youth but they don’t vote anyway so who cares? Super Tuesday came and I threw my vote in the toilet once again by voting Dr. Paul up to an amazing 4%.

Let’s get rid of the bad guys. Bush and Cheney and the rest of the worst administration in U. S. history. Name anything good they did with their total executive, judicial, and legislative power for 6 years. Every good thing we had 7.5 years ago is much worse now. We will be paying for their deceit and subpar performance for decades. The ultra-wealthy had this administration cut their taxes even more! *Read David Cay Johnston’s books on the tax code manipulation. You will understand then.
