once again insinuating the false idea that coal technology has somehow not evolved from its polluting heyday in the 1930s, that coal burning is simply belched out untreated

the coal burnt today, at least in the US, not only provides most of our power, it is more cleanly burnt than it was even a generation ago, due to advancements in scrubbing technology…so “Big Coal” is hardly the environmental boogie man one wants to make it out to be…

unfortunately, bush gave the power industry a pass on the clean air act and made it so they didn’t have to install those scrubbers. They only cost about a million a piece, but the CEO’s felt it was better to let the neighborhood children get asthma rather than give up a .001% of profits.
Nothing is being insinuated other than the coal industry is sponsoring the debates… which they are? How did you get that much out of “No Global Warming Questions: In yet another debate sponsored by Big Coal.”? did you bother to read the story it links to or did you let your mouth start running without a clear understanding again.

Don’t you see? Global warming is our only hope. If only we could hasten its onset, we could overload the capacity to drain the lifeforce that much quicker. Do not be afraid.

I’m affraid their technology is much better than that.

so what if coal is cleaner now than it ever was, thats still not enough. The facts you present are irrelevant to whether or not more needs to be done, and in fact, a lot more needs to be done. The scientists have made up their minds, we are just waiting for everybody else to.
