“Yes, she served on the board. And, yes, I think it was the right thing to do under the circumstances of the time, the 1980s.” –Bill Clinton today.

What does her “job” 25 years ago have to do with anything that’s going on today?
Walmart had a decent rep in those days…

I think walmart, even ‘in those days’, was known to be anti-union and its board especially so. in addition hillary’s law firm (rose) was known for its union-busting bias. not impressive on a democrat’s cv.
bill and hillary drag up anything, no matter from how long ago, to slag obama… so it goes both ways.

It all goes to Hillary’s pitting Union against Union as a Democrat.
She and Bill are destroying the Party of Peace.
Hillary Was on the Board, it was self serving just as she is today.

Well, she served on the board of directors for Wal-Mart, she also helped out some for Tyson foods, and she used to burn baby puppies on the weekends to relieve stress.
I remember when the first Mesicans came to Arkansas, Hillary used to get up early on May 5th, then she’s sneek down to the part of Little Rock where we kept them Mesicans at the time, and used to turn the water cannon on them, all the while yelling ” I’ll bet your backs are wet now!! “, and ” beaner screamer!! ”
Yep, them was the days,, I do declare!!

Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath, politicians must take the Hypocritic Oath. Do you think Hillary puts make-up on both faces? Wake me when it’s over })

What does her vote on the Iraq War five years ago have to do with anything that’s going on today?
The Iraq War had a decent rep in those days…
If the surge truly works, I expect HRC to retroactively support that, too.
Really?
Four more years of this?
Again?
What will the world think of us when a second Clinton administration follows a second Bush administration?
Personally, I don’t care, but, as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be obsessed with what the rest of the world think of us, or, at least when a Republican is President.

Shifter,
I just realized WHY I want Hillary. ‘Cause it’ll piss the HELL out of the Cons. Let’s rub their faces in it.
Sorry Ole, I’m too old to change.

Dennis: adroit analysis. Forget who might be the best leader, let’s vote to piss off our “enemies”.
I thought that since only Repubs can be racists (1960’s era Southern Democrats don’t count)that an Obama presidency would be the one that’d piss them off more.
Stay on message! How hard can it be? People all tend to post the same thing.

SS,
You’re pretending ANY of them can lead. Or that ‘leading’ is even possible. An interesting premise ripe with potential that I doubt anyone cares about.

“You’re pretending ANY of them can lead. Or that ‘leading’ is even possible. An interesting premise ripe with potential that I doubt anyone cares about.”
Thanks for explaining how Democrats think, or what they “feel” passes for it.

By saying that it was “the right thing to do [at] the time,” is President Clinton the First implying that serving on the Wal-Mart Board now is unacceptable?
DirtyDennis | 1/25/2008, 6:29 pm EST
Huh?
If I’m now the voice of the Democrats, I’m certainly underpaid. I believe I’m as much a parriah to them as to the Right.
My point was that there hasn’t been a ‘leader’ since JFK. And look what happened to him. If any of the presidents since have ‘led,’ please indicate where we went?

Well at the time, it was good to back Wal Mart,, old Sam Walton had Bill’s knutts in one hand, and the rest of Arkansas just loving it..
Hildabug started at working at Wal Mart, She learned to do what she was told, and keep her mouth shut when it took being quiet…
Sam Walton got what he wanted, and he wanted a pretty young yankee on his board, Bill said ” HAY MR. WALTON, I GOT ONE THAT I AIN’T USING!!”
Mr Walton said, ” INDEED YOU DO SON!! SEND HER OVER TO MY OFFICE AND I’LL SEE WHAT WE CAN GET OUT OF HER!”
Folks around Wal-Mart started calling Hildabug “SAM’S CHOICE”..

Pay attention, you might learn something about Wal Mart!

LoverBoy,
Before I learn any more about WalMart than I already care to know, I have to learn to decipher your oblique references.

Mrs. Clinton claims 35 years of change; going back only 25 years is charity.
The war in Iraq is still going on, it is still grinding our military into powder and costing US taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars and of course all of the men, women and children it has killed are still dead; thats why some people think it matters a lot who bought us here.
Waiting to see if the surge “works” is a little bit like hoping to save your TV after you’ve burned down your house. If the less that 5% of the insurgents who are terrorists and the 95% of insurgents who are ordinary Iraqis wake up tomorrow and decide to stop fighting the Bush administration and congress will have still spent over a million lives and up to a trillion tax dollars to turn a secular dictatorship into a fairly brutal framented theocracy in a war that did not have to be fought at all. The victory you are looking for happened a long time ago. The Iraqi army gave up pretty fast. It has taken five years of Republican stubborness and Democratic weakness for US to find a way to lose.
