Anti-Steroids Grandstander McCain Endorsed by Convicted HGH User Stallone

1/24/08, 5:20 pm EST

The McCain campaign is crowing today about the endorsement of their candidate by Rambo. Presumably Mac is eager to have his own answer to Chuck Norris, who has been such a hit pimping for Mike Huckabee.

But does anyone else find it incongruous that McCain, who has held Senate hearings on steroids in baseball, and just last month shamed the Rocket for his alleged Human Growth Hormone use — “I’m very disappointed with Roger Clemens” — is now locking arms with Sly Stallone?

This is the same Stallone, after all, who was convicted in Australia last May for illegally importing human growth hormone and testosterone into that country — including 48 vials of an HGH drug banned in the U.S.

Stallone, in court documents, claimed he needed the performance enhancing drugs for his latest Rambo flick, filmed in the jungles of Southeast Asia: “As you get older, the pituitary gland slows and you feel older, your bones narrow,” he said, “This stuff gives your body a boost and you feel and look good. Doing Rambo is hard work. Where do you think I am going to get this stuff in Burma?”

First, I would like to congratulate Stallone for his honest response about his use of HGH.
Second, have any one of you noticed that McCain’s face (his enlarged chin) makes one suspicious about whether he is juicing on HGH?

Apple Inc.’s new data synching service got off to a rocky start Thursday, as some users were denied access to their accounts just hours before the next-generation iPhone is slated to go on sale.

Amazing! You have the nerve to criticize McCain for getting an “endorsement” of someone who has taken a regulated substance - and yet you fail to mention that Obama is a self-proclaimed coke-head and spent most of his college years high on cocaine, an illegal drug. I would much rather have my President know someone who takes drugs than to take them himself. If there is drug testing for employees at Wal-Mart, why is there no mandatory drug testing for the highest office in America. Coke. It’s the real thing and it’s time to “get real”, people - before it’s too late.

Have either Sly or Mac been directly asked about this conflict? If so, what have they said?
Also, since I am reading this a bit later {Feb. 13}, I feel I can put a new perspective on the ‘pimping’ comment. Did Rolling Stone receive any objection from either Mike Huckabee or Chuck Norris’ mom about your ‘offensive’ use of the word ‘pimping’ in reference to Chuck? :) I’d really like to know!

If the Republicans pick Mc Cain and Huckabee Chuck and Sly will kick the Democrats butts.

I sure find it incongruous that Rolling Stone feels entitled to pass judgement on anyone’s drug intake, legal or otherwise! LOL!!!!!

It’s official: John McCain’s celebrity flak [Stallone] is stupider than Mike Huckabee’s celebrity flak [Chuck Norris].

John H, “OUTPERFORM non-users”, isn’t that exactly what he is doing?

What is it with the Republican party? Is the key endorsement for each candidate now seen to be a macho action movie guy? Chuck Norris, Sly Stallone, then you have Govenors Terminator and “The Body” Ventura. What’s next? President Hogan? Secretary Rock? Our country has become a comic book written by a mentally retarded child.

While I’m not endorsing the use of these drugs, I would point out that there is a difference in Sly using them to the part of Rambo, and ball players using them to OUTPERFORM non-users.

One is cheating, the other is cosmetic.

Is that like having Charles Manson as a marriage consoler??

Wow. What a great endorsement
