1/10/08, 2:23 pm EST

It’s a good day when a truly shitty congressman retires.

Better yet: we may soon see a congressman Charlie Brown

As a familiar foe of this sinister, evil congressman, I’m happier than sh*t to see him leave. This guy is the perfect example of the sorry side of politics. Votes party line no matter what. Can’t have a thought for himself. Lives 5 thousand miles away from his constitutents. Bilks the system. On and on and on. Then, when it comes time for him to realize his mistakes and fess up to his wrongdoings, he quits. Retires with our money.

This guy’s a joke. GOOD riddance.

Coach,

We are ‘one.’ Drop me a line @ dirtydennis.excite if you feel up to it. Got a couple of questions for you offline.

Coach | 1/10/2008, 4:03 pm EST

Dirty, fire away at bojones21@yahoo

David... | 1/10/2008, 5:56 pm EST

Let’s hope that he’s the first of many Congressmen and Senators who have found corruption to be a way of life that will pack their bags and get the hell out of Washington before they end up in one of those privatized prisons they voted for.

We won’t miss you.

I’m not so keen on this Brown guy, although I’m not even a resident of CA. Retired military, FORMER Con? Not exactly your sterotype liberal/progressive. That’s the BEST Northern Cal can produce?

Grab hold of the railings, boys, there appears to be rough seas ahead.

December was the worst holiday season in five years.
Unemployment is up and so are prices.
The trade deficit grew by almost 10 percent. This in spite of a devaluating dollar.
Oil is up almost 60% from a year ago.
Bernanke’s going to cut the rate by 1/2 percent, up(down?) from the expected 1/4.
Merrill/Lynch is expected to report $15 Billion in loses for the fourth quarter. (15 BILLION?? Jesus!! Of course, they call it a ‘mark down.’)
Dow Jones is already down 180 points this morning.

Methinks we be screwed.

Jed Clampett | 1/11/2008, 11:17 am EST

these guys should be tried for treason and imprisoned for life.
Cunningham’s two years is a joke and an insult.
Is not stealing from the treasury and corrupting the political process an unconstitutional act and therefore a transgression on their oath to uphold the constitution? They give a crackaddict 20 yrs just for smoking the stuff. These guys hurt the whole country with the stroke of a pen, deprive others the pursuit of happiness with their selfishness.
No less than life in prison is justified for these kinds of people.

DirtyDennis | 1/11/2008, 11:27 am EST

Jed,

Since these guys are beyond rehabilitation, some corporal punishment need be included. I mean, they ARE conservatives. What would be more conservative?

Coach | 1/11/2008, 2:44 pm EST

A much simpler solution would be mandatory, maximum sentences in all political cases. A constitutional ammendment involving political corruption is in order……

How is this a ‘for the people’ government, when the people are the ones who get screwed the most? The lawmakers get off lightly, or completely.

Imagine a world where conservatives ruled. Can you say communism or fascism?

Jed Clampett | 1/11/2008, 3:49 pm EST

Not communism, they couldnt possibly stomach the concept of all working for the benefit of all.
More than likely fascism, or any other form of totalitarianism, regardless of the label they put on it. Capitalism will do, particularly the way they practice it.
